Since we started in December, participants have been joining the project to add a total of <\/span><b>19 patients<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, of which 8 are already in the middle of the treatment.<\/span><\/p><p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-a6ae6835-7fff-260c-38d5-3901716cb991\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite the restrictions and the alarming situation due to COVID that has been experienced in the province of Cadiz, the <\/span><b>follow-up visits<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to check the evolution and collect the data of the patients have been carried out with total security and following the COVID protocol in a space provided by the <\/span><b>Puerta del Mar University Hospital<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in C\u00e1diz.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1953\" style=\"color: #3b3d42; font-size: 24px; letter-spacing: 0px; text-align: inherit;\" src=\"https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Marta-y-Mari\u0301a-1-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Marta-y-Mari\u0301a-1-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Marta-y-Mari\u0301a-1-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Marta-y-Mari\u0301a-1-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Marta-y-Mari\u0301a-1-600x800.jpeg?crop=1 600w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Marta-y-Mari\u0301a-1-900x1200.jpeg?crop=1 900w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Marta-y-Mari\u0301a-1-300x400.jpeg?crop=1 300w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Marta-y-Mari\u0301a-1-150x200.jpeg?crop=1 150w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Marta-y-Mari\u0301a-1.jpeg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During these visits, our two colleagues Marta Moreno and Mar\u00eda Rebollo have verified the health status of the patients, their evolution and the adherence to the therapeutic exercise program, at the same time they gave new guidelines to continue the program.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the next months, data collection will continue and <\/span><b>new patients<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will joined the project, increasing the sample size and, consequently, the representativeness of the population with chronic pain.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although the PainReApp project is still in its first phase, the reception of the program is being good and patients are actively participating thanks to the referral of cases from the <\/span><b>Rehabilitation Unit <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the hospital.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are still months of work and from the Observatory of Pain we can say that we are satisfied with the direction the project is taking and excited to continue.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>What is PainReApp?\u00a0<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a moment when telemedicine is gaining special relevance, PainReApp was born as an alternative to <\/span><b>physical exercise therapy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for people who suffer from pain.
