{"id":2178,"date":"2021-05-17T13:15:27","date_gmt":"2021-05-17T13:15:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/el-observatorio-del-dolor-recibe-un-segundo-premio-en-el-i-congreso-internacional-excercise-aging-and-health-de-la-uca\/"},"modified":"2021-05-17T13:16:28","modified_gmt":"2021-05-17T13:16:28","slug":"el-observatorio-del-dolor-recibe-un-segundo-premio-en-el-i-congreso-internacional-excercise-aging-and-health-de-la-uca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/en\/el-observatorio-del-dolor-recibe-un-segundo-premio-en-el-i-congreso-internacional-excercise-aging-and-health-de-la-uca\/","title":{"rendered":"The Observatory of Pain receives an award at the I International Congress of Excercise, aging and health of the University of C\u00e1diz"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On May 13 and 14, the <strong>I International Congress of <\/strong><strong><em>Excercise, aging and health<\/em><\/strong><strong> <\/strong>took place, with the participation of the Observatory of Pain, which won the <strong>second prize<\/strong> in the poster category for the study entitled <em>Physical Activity and associated factors in the Spanish population \u226565 years old.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event, part of the INTERMAE project, was organized by <strong>MOVE-IT<\/strong>, a research group of the <strong>University of C\u00e1diz<\/strong>, with the collaboration of the Institute for Research and Biomedical Innovation (INiBICA), the Andalussian Administration, the European Fund of Regional Development, ITI (integrated territorial investment), the Andalusian journal of Sports Medicine (RAMD) and the sponsorship of Psymt\u00e9c.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the current situation, the congress was online but with great success in terms of participation. Experts from four countries and speakers from 14 leading research centers met to present their latest work <strong>on health in the elderly<\/strong> and its relationship with <strong>physical exercise<\/strong>. Among the specialists, it is worth highlighting Mar\u00eda Blasco, director of the National Cancer Research Center (CNIO), Kirk Erickson of the Brain Aging &amp; Cognitive Health laboratory of the University of Pittsburgh or Mar\u00eda Llorens of the Severo Ochoa Molecular Biology Center (CSIC).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During these two days, the participants enjoyed a wide variety of talks, thematic sessions, communications and poster exhibitions focused on the physical exercise as a <strong>therapeutic strategy<\/strong> to mitigate the health consequences of aging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Observatory of Pain<\/strong> presented two posters. Firstly, our colleague <strong>Marta Moreno<\/strong> presented the study <em>Movement-based mHealth interventions to improve gait performance, balance and physical activity self-management in older patients with neurological diseases,<\/em> which aims to evaluate the efficacy of an mHealth system in people who suffer from chronic pain. Then, it was the turn of <strong>Mar\u00eda Rebollo<\/strong> who, with the study <em>Physical Activity and associated factors in the Spanish population \u226565 years old<\/em>, won the <strong>second prize.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite not being able to enjoy all the benefits offered by face-to-face congresses, the first edition of the <em>Excercise, aging and health<\/em> congress was very enriching for our team, which in addition to a <strong>great learning<\/strong> about the impact of physical exercise on health and aging, achieved a <strong>recognition<\/strong> that we received with joy and enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los d\u00edas 13 y 14 de mayo tuvo lugar el <strong>I Congreso Internacional virtual <\/strong><strong><em>Excercise, aging and health<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em>(<em>Ejercicio, envejecimiento y salud<\/em>), con la participaci\u00f3n del Observatorio del Dolor que consigui\u00f3 el <strong>segundo premio<\/strong> en la categor\u00eda de p\u00f3ster por el estudio <em>Physical Activity and associated factors in the Spanish population \u226565 years old.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El evento, enmarcado dentro del proyecto INTERMAE fue organizado por el grupo de investigaci\u00f3n <strong>MOVE-IT<\/strong> de la <strong>Universidad de C\u00e1diz,<\/strong> con la colaboraci\u00f3n del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n e Innovaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica (INiBICA), la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, el Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional, ITI (inversi\u00f3n territorial integrada), la revista Andaluza de Medicina del Deporte (RAMD) y el patrocinio de Psymt\u00e9c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dada la situaci\u00f3n actual, el congreso se celebr\u00f3 de manera <strong>virtual<\/strong> pero con un gran \u00e9xito en cuanto a participaci\u00f3n. Expertos de cuatro pa\u00edses y ponentes representantes de 14 centros de investigaci\u00f3n de referencia se reunieron para presentar sus \u00faltimos trabajos sobre la <strong>salud en las<\/strong> <strong>personas mayores <\/strong>y su relaci\u00f3n con el<strong> ejercicio f\u00edsico<\/strong>. Entre las personas especialistas invitadas cabe resaltar a Mar\u00eda Blasco, directora del Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncol\u00f3gicas (CNIO), Kirk Erickson del laboratorio <em>Brain Aging &amp; Cognitive Health<\/em> de la Universidad de Pittsburgh o Mar\u00eda Llorens del Centro de Biolog\u00eda Molecular <em>Severo Ochoa <\/em>(CSIC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lo largo de los dos d\u00edas que dur\u00f3 el congreso, los participantes pudieron disfrutar de una gran variedad de ponencias, sesiones tem\u00e1ticas, exposiciones a p\u00f3steres y comunicaciones centradas en abordar el ejercicio f\u00edsico como <strong>estrategia terap\u00e9utica<\/strong> para mitigar las consecuencias del envejecimiento para la salud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por parte del <strong>Observatorio del Dolor<\/strong> se presentaron dos p\u00f3steres.
