The examining board was composed of <\/span><b>Dr David Lucena (University of C\u00e1diz), Dr Noelia Galiano (University of Granada), and Dr Luis Azevedo (University of Porto)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with the aim of achieving international recognition for the doctorate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4357\" src=\"https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/foto-tribunal-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/foto-tribunal-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/foto-tribunal-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/foto-tribunal-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/foto-tribunal-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/foto-tribunal-600x450.jpeg?crop=1 600w, https:\/\/observatoriodeldolor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/foto-tribunal.jpeg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The thesis, presented as a compendium of scientific articles, examines the evidence on the use of <\/span><b>technology (m-Health)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for managing <\/span><b>chronic pain<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and includes the evaluation of an m-Health system called <\/span><b>PainReApp<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, specifically developed by the <\/span><b>Pain Observatory research group<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to deliver a <\/span><b>self-guided physical exercise programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for individuals with <\/span><b>chronic low back pain<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The results of this research have been presented at various <\/span><b>national and international conferences<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and published in <\/span><b>prestigious international scientific journals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 14 February 2025, our colleague from the Pain Observatory, Marta Moreno, defended her doctoral thesis titled \u201cEffectiveness of a Physical Exercise-based Intervention delivered by an m-Health system on Biopsychosocial variables in Patients with Chronic Pain from different origin,\u201d supervised by Dr Inmaculada Failde Mart\u00ednez and Dr Jos\u00e9 A.
