Our colleague and researcher Marta Moreno is back at the Pain Observatory after her international stay at the University of Cork, Ireland. From January to April, Marta has been under the supervision of Dr. Joseph McVeigh, Head of Discipline in Physiotherapy with a wide experience in the research of new technologies in the field of physiotherapy and pain.
During the three months of her stay, Marta has been collaborating in the European project SCALE-UP4REHAB, which involves 13 organisations from 6 European countries and aims to expand the use of virtual reality and other intelligent technologies in rehabilitation. This collaboration has completed the training and research experience of our colleague in the use of new technologies in the management and treatment of chronic pain.

Marta also had the opportunity to attend a project meeting with the rest of the European partners, held on 14 and 15 March in Brussels (Belgium). This meeting was a very enriching opportunity for our colleague, where she was able to learn and deepen her knowledge on the subject.
It should be noted that this stay will allow our physiotherapist and future doctor to obtain her doctoral degree with European mention soon.
After her return, our colleague will be able to share her experience and learning in the field of chronic pain and virtual reality with the rest of the Pain Observatory group.
