On May 31, 2023, our colleague of the Observatory team, María Ángeles Dueñas Rodríguez, has obtained the position of Associate Professor at the University of Cadiz, attached to the Department of Statistics and Operations Research and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
In order to apply for the position, María had to take part in the Competition for Access to the Corps of University Professors, of the Resolution of the University of Cadiz of February 23rd, 2023 (as stated in the BOE number 55 of March 6th, 2023). In this competition María presented her Teaching Profile: Teaching in the area of knowledge, and her research profile: Preferred research on Statistics Applied to Health Sciences.
This exhaustive test consisted of three different parts:
- The first phase involved the presentation of the Academic, Teaching and Research History.
- The second part of the process consisted of a presentation and defense of a teaching project of the subject “Statistics” of the Double Degree in Business Administration and Management and Finance and Accounting.
- And finally, the third part corresponded to the presentation and defense of a research project entitled: Application of longitudinal structural equation models in the analysis of the evolution and relationships between physical and psychological variables and quality of life in patients with post-Covid syndrome, through an intervention of an m-health program of physical exercise.
Thanks to her years of study, her excellent preparation and the tenacity that characterizes our colleague, María passed the different phases of the project, thus obtaining a position as a tenured position in our beloved University of Cádiz.
